Hp Laptop Freezes Frequently

Jan 14, 2019  Then a month ago, I discovered by chance that when I unplug the AC adaptor, the laptop unfreezes. Any video playing during the freeze would fast forward until the correct present frame. Sometimes it freezes a couple of times a day, sometimes a couple of times in an hour.

  • Let me take a moment to thank you for posting on the HP Support Forums. I understand that you have an HP 15 series laptop. I read that while playing a game, the laptop freezes for about 3 seconds.

  • First clear those common issues like virus or malfuctioning software that was recently installed. Reboot then press f8 to safe mode and check if the system freezes in safe mode(if works normaly in.
  • Feb 13, 2013  the computer freezes randomly when i'm online. It freezes completely -even the mouse- for a few seconds. Then it beeps once from the speakers and unfreeze at the same time. No BSOD or anything else. Seems like a hardware problem, but i am not sure. It should beep from the desktop inside if.
  • Jan 15, 2019  I'm having exactly the same issue - the laptop randomly freezes completely, and then whenever the power is plugged in (or unplugged, if it was plugged in already) the screen seems to 'fast forward' very quickly to catch up on any interactions I did while it was frozen, and then runs normally.
  • The Performance Monitor graphs keep updating during the freezes-so I know the computer is doing SOMETHING-but CPU utilization is next to nothing. Then after 15-30 seconds, CPU utilization will go back up to normal levels and things will work again. At least for a few minutes until the next freeze.
